Kremenchuk Georgia, b. 1999
Diana Ruban (Kremenchuk, Ukraine, 1999) is a Ukrainian visual artist working primarily in painting and sculpture. Her artistic practice explores themes of personal identity, melancholy, emotional transformation, and inner freedom through allegorical imagery and recurring female figures. Drawing from symbolism and surrealist visual language, Ruban creates imagined worlds inhabited by generalized, non-idealized characters that embody vulnerability, sensitivity, and psychological experience. A recurring blue female figure and the symbolic image of the bird function as metaphors for spirituality, emotional isolation, and the search for liberation, forming the core of the artist’s deeply personal visual universe.
