Biography
Teté Alurralde (b. 1986, Argentina) is an abstract artist based in Barcelona whose work explores introspection, emotion, and the passage of time. Rooted in personal experience, her practice uses abstraction as a means of translating inner states into visual form, creating contemplative spaces that invite reflection and emotional connection.
At the heart of Alurralde’s work is an ongoing exploration of how emotions evolve over time and how they can be represented through colour, rhythm, and gesture. Her paintings emerge through a process that balances intention with unpredictability, embracing the expressive possibilities of chance as an essential part of creation.
Water plays a fundamental role in her practice, acting both as a medium and a collaborator.
