ESCAT Projects is the experimental and research platform of ESCAT Gallery, based in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona.
Conceived as a space for discovery, experimentation and new artistic voices, it expands the gallery’s curatorial programme through invited artists, emerging practices, site-specific interventions and projects that explore new forms of artistic production and presentation.

Operating alongside ESCAT Gallery’s main programme in Barcelona, ESCAT Projects allows the gallery to initiate new artistic relationships and engage with practices at different stages of their development. Through exhibitions, collaborations and special projects, the space creates a context in which ideas can evolve over time and new dialogues can emerge.
ESCAT Projects brings together emerging and established artists, curators and other cultural practitioners within a flexible and evolving programme.
Its industrial architecture provides a distinctive setting for exhibitions, installations, moving image and site-specific projects, allowing each presentation to respond to the character and possibilities of the space.
While maintaining its own identity as a platform for discovery and experimentation, ESCAT Projects forms an integral part of ESCAT Gallery. Together, the two programmes create a broader framework for developing artistic practices, building long-term relationships and contributing to ESCAT’s evolving international programme.
