For SWAB Barcelona Art Fair 2026, Escat Gallery presents a selection of contemporary works exploring the relationships between the body, memory, materiality and transformation.
Bringing together figurative and sculptural practices, the presentation moves between intimate representations of the human figure and works in which organic forms, suspended elements and unconventional materials activate the surrounding space. Across different approaches, the participating artists share an interest in vulnerability, psychological presence and the capacity of materials to carry memory and meaning.
The presentation reflects Escat Gallery’s commitment to emerging and established contemporary practices with distinctive visual languages. Rather than proposing a single formal direction, the booth establishes a dialogue between figuration and abstraction, physical presence and fragility, intimacy and spatial experience.
Through this selection, Escat Gallery approaches the fair as an extension of its curatorial programme in Barcelona: a space for discovery, dialogue and the development of artists whose practices respond to contemporary experience while maintaining a strong individual identity.
