Biography
Flora Castiglia is an Argentine artist born in Buenos Aires whose practice explores the relationship between interior and exterior worlds, memory, and perception. Introduced to art at an early age through her mother, also an artist, she developed a deep appreciation for creativity, observation, and artistic discipline while growing up surrounded by the rhythms of studio life.
Music has played a significant role in shaping Castiglia’s visual language. Early in her career, she created designs for musicians and interpretations of album covers, experiences that continue to resonate throughout her work. Her paintings possess a distinctly melodic quality, where forms, colours, and compositions interact with a rhythm that echoes musical structures and harmonies.
Working through abstraction, Castiglia creates contemplative compositions that blur the boundaries between landscape, architecture, and domestic space.
